3. Do you offer consultations before the session? Yes, consultations are included in most packages. This allows us to discuss your vision, preferences, and any specific requests. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know each other and ensure we’re on the same page.

4. I never like the way I look in photos. What can you do to make me like my photos? You’re probably wrong and you’re gorgeous! Posing, lighting, and Photoshop play a crucial role. I use flattering poses and soft, natural light to enhance your appearance. Minor edits like removing blemishes or softening shadows are also part of the process.

5. My husband/young kids/wife/insert person here doesn’t like taking pictures. How can you make the best of this for us? Many people feel this way, but I strive to make the experience enjoyable. My sessions are relaxed and fun, often leading to comments like, “That was easier than I thought.”

7. What if my child or pet is not cooperating during the session? It’s normal for children and pets to be unpredictable during photo shoots. I have experience working with both and will use patience and creativity to capture their personalities. Feel free to bring snacks or toys that might help keep them engaged.

8. Do you provide guidance on posing during the session? Yes, part of my job is to help you feel comfortable and look natural in front of the camera. I’ll provide gentle direction and prompts to capture authentic moments.

9. What if it rains? We will reschedule to another date and time without penalty. Some clients prefer light rain for creative images.

13. What happens if I lose the digital files or prints? I typically keep copies of your photos on file for a certain period after delivery. If you lose your digital files or prints within that time frame, I can provide replacements for a nominal fee. Be sure to back up your files to prevent loss.

14. How long do you keep galleries backed up on your computer? I retain edited images on my computer for one year. Online gallery links expire after three months, and images are deleted online after six months. I can re-upload them within the year if needed. Always back up your files to prevent loss.

15. Can we share our photos on social media? Yes, digital files come with permission for personal use, including social media sharing. Please credit Catriona Hope Photography and adhere to any usage restrictions in your contract.

16. Can we order prints or albums through you? Yes, I offer print and album options as part of my services. I can guide you in selecting the best prints and creating custom albums that beautifully showcase your photos.

17. Are you rigid on your packages? No, everyone is unique. The packages are designed as a framework and can be easily customized after discussing your vision and concerns.

18. Can we bring props or pets? Absolutely! Bringing props or pets adds a personal touch to your photos, except in the in-home photo studio.

For additional fees, I offer enhanced editing such as blemish removal, glare reduction in eyeglasses, and additional pet hair removal. 20. Will you provide a contract outlining the terms of our agreement? Yes, a contract is standard practice to protect both parties and clarify expectations. It outlines session fees, deliverables, copyright permissions, and any additional services requested.

21. Can we include extended family members in our session? Of course! Family gatherings and reunions often make for wonderful photo opportunities. Let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly and ensure everyone gets the attention they deserve.

22. How do I receive my images? What’s an online gallery? You will receive a private link to an online gallery where you can view and download images, and purchase professional prints. The gallery is password-protected, and you can share it with friends and family.

23. My child has special needs. Should I be nervous about our session? Not at all. I am experienced in working with children with special needs and am happy to spend extra time to ensure they are comfortable. There is no extra charge for additional shooting time.

24. Do you travel for destination shoots? Yes, I am available for destination shoots. Additional travel fees and accommodations may apply, which will be discussed during the planning phase.

25. How long does a typical photo session last? Sessions typically last between one to two hours, depending on the type and scope of the shoot. We can discuss this in detail during your consultation.
